General information

Description of the project

The need for major road repairs is due to their unsatisfactory technical condition. Significant damage to the road surface, deep potholes, deformations, destroyed roadsides and insufficient drainage are observed in some areas. This condition of the roads poses a threat to the safety of road users, complicates transport connections and negatively affects the socio-economic development of nearby territories. Major repairs are necessary to restore the functionality of the roads, improve their operational characteristics and ensure safe and comfortable traffic

The purpose of the project

Main goal:

Improving the condition of infrastructure

Secondary goal:

Increasing compliance with modern standards, Improving the equality of wealth distribution, Ensuring inclusiveness and equal opportunities

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The main goal of the overhaul is to restore the technical condition of the road surface, artificial structures and elements of engineering equipment to the regulatory indicators of operational suitability, ensuring: • safe, continuous and comfortable movement of vehicles; • increasing the capacity of the road; • reducing costs for current maintenance in the medium and long term; • increasing the level of transport and operational characteristics (evenness, roughness, strength of the road surface); • improving the environmental situation and living conditions of the population in the surrounding areas. To achieve this goal, the implementation of the overhaul project involves the implementation of the following comprehensive technical and organizational measures: o dismantling of worn layers of asphalt concrete pavement; o arranging new bases from crushed stone-sand or cement-concrete mixtures; o laying new layers of asphalt concrete pavement; o arranging road troughs; o arranging reinforcement strips; o cleaning of culverts Thus, the gap consists in a significant lag between the actual technical condition of the road and the regulatory indicators, which makes it impossible to operate it effectively without intervention. Overhaul is designed to eliminate this gap through a comprehensive technical renovation of the road.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

The road is in unsatisfactory technical condition: there are deep potholes, deformations of the coating, absence or damage, markings, destroyed roadsides, insufficient drainage. Operation of the road in this condition poses a threat to the safety of road users and limits the development of adjacent territories. Major repairs of the road will ensure improvement of the condition of the road surface; reduction of accidents on this section; increase of the road capacity; improvement of conditions for drivers; increase of the investment attractiveness of the region. m
