Reconstruction of the boiler house by installing a 160 kW cogeneration gas plant for the production of heat and electricity at the address: 17-A Starosvitska Street in Myrhorod, Poltava Region
Installation of high-efficiency gas boilers
Reconstruction of the boiler house with the installation of a 160 kW cogeneration gas plant is an economically and technically feasible solution for increasing the efficiency of the heat supply system. A cogeneration gas plant (CGU) is an energy system that simultaneously produces electricity and heat from natural gas or biogas. This principle of operation is called cogeneration. The project provides simultaneous production of electricity and heat with a high efficiency, which allows to significantly reduce energy costs, increase the energy independence of the facility and ensure stable operation in conditions of unstable energy supply. Additional advantages are the rational use of the existing boiler house infrastructure, reduction of energy losses, reduction of emissions and a relatively short payback period for investments. Therefore, the implementation of a CGU is an effective tool for modernizing the boiler house and increasing its reliability, efficiency and autonomy in modern conditions of Ukraine.

Alternative project solution Current status The existing cafeteria and catering unit require major repairs: worn-out communications, outdated equipment, limited space for safe movement of students and staff. Lack of conditions for physical accessibility: no ramps, adapted doors and bathrooms, which makes access difficult for groups with limited mobility. Possible implementation alternatives Alternative 1: Leave unchanged Continue operation without repairs. Advantages: does not require financial costs. Disadvantages: further deterioration of conditions, risk of violation of sanitary standards, lack of accessibility for groups with limited mobility, negative impact on the health and safety of students. Alternative 2: Major repairs without taking into account accessibility Renovation of premises and equipment, but without ramps, adapted doors, bathrooms. Advantages: improvement of sanitary and hygienic conditions, updating of equipment. Disadvantages: lack of accessibility for people with disabilities, does not meet the requirements of inclusion and modern standards. Alternative 3: Major renovation with physical barrier-free access (selected solution) Complete renovation of premises with the installation of ramps, adapted doors, spacious aisles, bathrooms for groups with limited mobility. Advantages: ensures accessibility for all students and staff, meets state inclusion standards, improves sanitary and safe conditions, enhances the image of the lyceum. Disadvantages: requires higher financial resources compared to alternatives 1 and 2.
