General information

Description of the project

To carry out the reconstruction of the dormitory at the address: Dnipro, Bazavlutska St., Building 105, Dnipro, which will ensure safe accommodation for students

The purpose of the project

Main goal:

Increasing compliance with modern standards

Secondary goal:

Increasing compliance with modern standards, Ensuring inclusiveness and equal opportunities, Improving the quality of services

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The project involves a comprehensive reconstruction of dormitories of vocational (vocational and technical) education institutions. The main goal is to create safe, comfortable and modern living conditions for students. This will ensure an increase in the quality of life of young people, improve the social climate in institutions and stimulate applicants to choose vocational education in the region, reducing the outflow of youth. The project will be implemented in two main stages. First, a technical inspection of buildings will be carried out and the necessary design and estimate documentation will be developed in accordance with current building codes. The next stage will be construction and repair work, which includes: major renovation of internal premises (living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms); complete renovation of engineering networks (heating, water supply, sewage, electricity supply, ventilation); thermal modernization of buildings (insulation of facades, replacement of windows and doors); modernization of fire safety systems. The new space will be equipped with modern energy-efficient and multifunctional equipment, which will increase the overall energy efficiency of buildings and ensure resilience to energy risks. All work will be carried out taking into account the needs of low-mobility groups of the population (the principle of barrier-free access). The current condition of the premises requires immediate intervention to replace worn-out networks and finishing works.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

Problem: The critical and neglected condition of the dormitory premises of the Municipal Institution "Dnipro Center for Vocational and Technical Education of Tourist Service" makes it impossible to create proper conditions for students to live. Key challenges: Dangerous communications: Complete physical deterioration of engineering systems (heating, water supply, sewage, electrical networks) causes constant breakdowns and poses a direct threat to the safety of residents. Destruction and unsanitary conditions: The premises have significant damage, traces of fungus, mold and leaks. Sanitary areas are unusable. Low energy efficiency: Outdated windows and lack of insulation lead to significant heat loss and excessive energy consumption. Security threat: Lack of a modern fire safety and alarm system. Solutions and expected results: Reconstruction of the dormitory will provide a comprehensive solution to existing problems: Reliability and safety: Updating engineering systems guarantees uninterrupted provision of utility services and eliminates the risks of accidents and fires. Comfort and hygiene: Creating modern, clean and healthy living conditions that fully comply with sanitary standards. Energy efficiency: Thermomodernization measures will reduce utility costs and ensure a comfortable temperature regime. Full use: Restoring the functionality of the dormitory will create a safe and motivating environment for students to live and study.
