General information

Description of the project

The main building is located at 5 Yuriy Kaminsky St. - existing, four-story. Located in the Metallurgical District of the city of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. The Metallurgical District is located in the central part of the city. Year of commissioning - 1961. The project provides for a major overhaul of the existing building in order to create safe, modern and energy-efficient conditions for providing medical care to patients and comfortable working conditions for staff. The design solutions on the territory of the garden and park zone provide for the location of: a central alley with a central area and side alleys, covered with decorative FEM tiles. The project for the major overhaul of the medical building area provides for the following landscaping works: restoration of the existing asphalt concrete road surface; covering of existing and designed sidewalks with asphalt concrete; covering of the designed ramp descent with asphalt concrete; tactile strips; surface connection elements; landscaping. To ensure an accessible path for people with disabilities and other groups of people with limited mobility, the project  provides: porches and ramps for unobstructed and convenient access to the building; restoration of hospital elevators with the installation of elevator exit doors on each floor. On the first floor near the lobby  a universal bathroom (for people with disabilities) is provided for visitors.

The project aims to improve the quality of medical care for patients, ensure safe working conditions for medical personnel, and increase the energy efficiency of the infectious diseases hospital building. The project is aimed at: preserving and strengthening the health of the population by creating a modern, safe, and comfortable environment for the treatment of infectious diseases, increasing public trust in the healthcare system through renovation and modernization of the medical facility, and increasing the efficiency of resource use and energy efficiency of the building, which will reduce operating costs.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

Worn-out structures and coverings of the building, which create risks for the safety of patients and staff, outdated engineering networks (electricity, water supply, heating, ventilation), insufficient insulation and organization of premises for infectious patients, outdated security and alarm systems, limited accessibility for people with disabilities, energy consumption and high operating costs. The project provides for major repairs and modernization of the existing building. Also, in the territory of the garden and park zone, it is planned to locate: a central alley with a central area and side alleys, covered with decorative FEM tiles. The project for the major repair of the medical building area provides for the following landscaping works: restoration of the existing asphalt concrete road surface; covering of existing and designed sidewalks with asphalt concrete; covering of the designed ramp descent with asphalt concrete; tactile strips; elements of surface connection; landscaping.
