General information

Description of the project

The project is aimed at providing the lyceum with modern teaching aids and equipment in accordance with the requirements of the "New Ukrainian School" (NUS) reform. The need to create a modern biology classroom and biology laboratory is critically justified from a scientific and pedagogical point of view. Biology as an experimental science requires systematic laboratory and practical work that forms research competencies, data analysis skills and scientific thinking in students. Currently, limited equipment does not allow for the full implementation of the requirements of curricula and standards of specialized education, which reduces the effectiveness of learning and affects the results of the National Mathematical Laboratory, participation in the National Mathematical Laboratory, and the results of Olympiads in academic subjects. The introduction of a modern laboratory (microscopic equipment, digital sensors, models, interactive tools) will ensure the transition to inquiry-based learning - learning through research, which, according to international educational research, increases the level of material assimilation by 20-30%. In addition, this will create conditions for the integration of biology with other STEM disciplines (chemistry, ecology, IT), which is necessary for the formation of a holistic scientific worldview. The implementation of the project will allow achieving clearly predicted results: an increase in the share of high results of NMT in the subjects of the natural and mathematical cycle is expected, an increase in the involvement of students in STEM areas, as well as an increase in participation in scientific and research activities. The creation of a modern biological laboratory will ensure high-quality specialized training for students in grades 10-11(12), strengthen their competitiveness when entering higher education institutions in the natural and medical fields, and contribute to the formation of key competencies and cross-cutting skills. In the future, this will allow increasing the contingent of students, as well as transforming the institution into a powerful scientific and educational center of the community. To create a modern educational space, repairs will be carried out and, in accordance with the requirements of the Ukraine Facility, the necessary teaching aids and equipment, furniture for educational spaces, computer and multimedia equipment will be purchased.

The purpose of the project

Main Goal:

Increasing compliance with modern standards

Secondary Goal:

Increasing compliance with modern standards, Improving the quality of services

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The main goal of the project is to create a safe, comfortable and motivating educational environment; improve the quality and efficiency of the educational process; develop key 21st century competencies in children - creativity, critical thinking, communication, digital literacy; increase the prestige of education and strengthen community trust in the school system. The implementation of the project will be an important step towards the implementation of the standards of the New Ukrainian School and the creation of a modern educational space for the development of successful, competent and responsible youth. As a result of the project, two modern biological educational spaces will be created, which will provide appropriate conditions for conducting theoretical, practical and laboratory classes and improving the quality of the educational process (1 biology laboratory and 1 biology classroom). The goal is achieved through repairs and the purchase of equipment, furniture, and multimedia and computer equipment.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

The implementation of this project solves the problem of updating the material and technical base of the lyceum, in particular, opening a biology laboratory in the institution, to increase compliance with the requirements of current legislation, equipping general secondary education institutions with modern educational equipment, which will increase the quality and efficiency of the educational process, creating conditions for equal, barrier-free access to quality education. With a modern biology laboratory and an updated biology classroom, students will increase their digital literacy through the use of multimedia and digital learning tools, will be able to participate in scientific projects and form their own, Olympiads and international programs, which will increase motivation to study. For the community, this is an investment in the future, because specialized education contributes to the development of local talents and the economy of the region. The project also results in: Educational: increasing the interest of school students in studying modern natural sciences, which in turn will lead them to choose STEM professions in the future and provide new prospects for the development of the regional STEM education system. Social: ensuring comfortable conditions for the educational process and bringing the school's material and technical base up to modern conditions.
