General information

Description of the project

The project involves the creation of a modern educational space within the framework of the "New Ukrainian School" reform in secondary education institutions of the Rohatyn urban territorial community. The project plans to update and equip science classrooms in three educational institutions of the community:

- Knyahynytsky Lyceum of the Rohatyn City Council of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast - equipping a chemistry room. It is planned to purchase laboratory furniture, a fume hood, student laboratory tables with sinks, chairs, an interactive panel, chemistry study kits, reagents, a laboratory cabinet and other educational equipment for conducting practical and demonstration classes;

- Rohatyn Brothers Lyceum of the Rohatyn City Council - equipping a geography classroom. It is planned to purchase geographical equipment, globes, maps, relief models, observation devices, multimedia equipment, laptops, furniture, STEM equipment and other educational equipment for practical and research work of students;

- Verkhnyolipytsky Lyceum of Rohatyn City Council, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast - arrangement of a biology classroom. It is planned to purchase furniture, stands, a board, binoculars, biological models, digital measuring complexes, bas-relief models, educational devices and other educational equipment for studying biology at the practical and research level.

The implementation of the project will make it possible to improve the material and technical base of educational institutions, provide modern conditions for studying natural sciences, strengthen the practical component of education, develop students' research skills, and prepare the educational space of the community for the implementation of specialized secondary education in accordance with the requirements of the "New Ukrainian School" reform.

The purpose of the project

Main Goal:

Increasing compliance with modern standards

Secondary Goal:

Increasing compliance with modern standards

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The goal of the project is to create a modern educational space in secondary education institutions of the Rohatyn city territorial community within the framework of the "New Ukrainian School" reform by updating science classrooms and providing them with modern teaching aids and equipment. The goal of the project will be achieved through renovations of classrooms and the purchase of modern educational, laboratory, multimedia, computer, demonstration and other equipment. The renovations of the premises are planned to be carried out at the expense of the local budget, and the purchase of equipment - at the expense of subventions from the state budget and co-financing from the local budget. Within the framework of the project, it is planned to equip a chemistry classroom in the Knyahynytsky Lyceum of the Rohatyn City Council of Ivano-Frankivsk region, a geography classroom in the Rohatyn Brothers Lyceum of the Rohatyn City Council of the Rohatyn City Council and a biology classroom in the Verkhnolipytsky Lyceum of the Rohatyn City Council of Ivano-Frankivsk region. The existing problem is the inadequacy and partial wear of classrooms, as well as the absence or insufficiency of modern equipment necessary to ensure the educational process at the level of modern standards. This limits the possibilities for conducting practical, laboratory, demonstration and research classes in natural sciences. The expected result of the project will be the creation and renovation of modern educational space in three community educational institutions, improving learning conditions, ensuring access to modern equipment for students and teachers, strengthening the practical component of the educational process and preparing educational institutions for the implementation of specialized secondary education in accordance with the requirements of the "New Ukrainian School" reform.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

The main problem is the insufficient compliance of science classrooms with the modern requirements of the "New Ukrainian School" reform. In Knyahynytsky Lyceum, Rohatyn Lyceum named after the Rohatyn Brothers, and Verkhnolipytsky Lyceum, the existing material and technical base does not fully provide for practical, laboratory, demonstration, and research classes. A separate problem is the lack of modern laboratory, multimedia, computer, and demonstration equipment. Because of this, students have limited access to practical study of chemistry, geography, and biology, and teachers cannot fully apply modern teaching methods, digital tools, and STEM approaches. Also, classrooms need to be renovated for the safe and effective placement of new equipment, organization of student work in groups, and conducting experiments, observations, and practical classes. As a result of the project, three science classrooms will be renovated and equipped: a chemistry classroom at the Knyahynytsky Lyceum, a geography classroom at the Rohatyn Brothers Lyceum, and a biology classroom at the Verkhnyolipytsky Lyceum. Students and teachers will have access to modern educational, laboratory, multimedia, computer, demonstration, and other equipment. The project will improve learning conditions, strengthen the practical component of the educational process, improve the quality of teaching science subjects, create conditions for the development of students' research and STEM competencies, and ensure better readiness of community educational institutions for the implementation of specialized secondary education.

Demand for the service and its dynamics

What methodology was used to estimate demand?
