General information

Description of the project

New treatment facilities with a capacity of 62 thousand m3 per day will allow all capacities to be transferred to one site outside the city and to treat wastewater in accordance with European directives and standards. Automation of processes and the operation of exceptionally energy-efficient equipment will allow significant savings in the wastewater treatment process. Completion of the reconstruction of sewage treatment facilities 2 will allow decommissioning of sewage treatment facilities 1. All wastewater entering the Main Sewerage Pumping Station (MSPS) is pumped through a collector with a diameter of 1000 mm, which runs through the territory of the sewage treatment facilities (STP 1). Then one strand of the specified collector runs to sewage treatment facilities 2 (STP 2). Emergency backup collectors are present only between the GKNS site and OSK 1. To switch to operation only OSK 2 and discontinue the use of the OSK 1 site, it is necessary to build a backup sewer collector line with a length of 2,500 m between these sites, which is planned as the second stage of construction of the project.

The purpose of the project

Main Goal:

Improving the quality of services

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

Maintaining continuity of service delivery arising from the need to replace a certain factor in the existing service delivery process Improving the efficiency of service delivery

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

Due to the reconstruction of the sewage treatment plant 2 (STP 2) and the decommissioning of STP 1, it became necessary to redirect wastewater from STP 1 to STP 2. The pressure collector that performs this function is in an emergency state (up to 10 failures per year) and needs to be replaced.
