General information

Description of the project

The adjustment is carried out by installing means of unobstructed access for people with disabilities and other low-mobility population groups in accordance with DBN V.2.2-40:2018 "Inclusivity of buildings and structures"; installing a gate device,  as a separate structure on the side of the main gate; installing paving slabs of the FEM type

The purpose of the project

Main goal:

Increasing compliance with modern standards

Secondary goal:

Introducing innovations and energy-efficient solutions

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The goal of the capital renovation project with energy-saving measures and the installation of barrier-free access facilities in Kindergarten No. 87 is to create a safe, energy-efficient and inclusive educational environment accessible to all children, including people with disabilities and other low-mobility groups. The project aims to simultaneously reduce the building's energy consumption (through energy-efficient solutions) and eliminate architectural barriers (ramps, tactile elements, convenient entrances, handrails, etc.) so that children and adults with musculoskeletal, vision or other special needs can use the kindergarten premises on an equal basis with other visitors.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

Problem: social isolation and unequal opportunities: families of children with disabilities are forced to either refuse to attend the nearest preschool, or spend additional resources (time, money) on searching for and attending another, more accessible institution. Result after implementation: improvement of the quality of the educational environment: barrier-free becomes part of an inclusive educational space, where all children participate in joint activities, which contributes to the formation of tolerance, empathy and skills of interaction with people with different needs
