General information

Description of the project

The detailed design envisages the relocation of the existing emergency domestic collector DN 800 mm with a total length of 437.4 meters using the “rehabilitation” method, pulling a Spirokor DN 600 mm polyethylene pipe into the body of the existing reinforced concrete pipe. The pipes are pulled through technological pits located near the existing inspection wells.

The purpose of the project

Main goal:

Improving the condition of infrastructure

Secondary goal:

Increasing compliance with modern standards

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

Ensuring the continuity and reliability of the provision of municipal wastewater services by replacing the emergency section of the household collector, which is in critical technical condition, and reducing the risks of emergency situations, environmental pollution and interruptions in consumer service. Relocation of the existing emergency household collector DN 800 mm with a total length of 437.4 m using the rehabilitation method - by pulling a new Spirokor DN 600 mm polyethylene pipe into the body of the existing reinforced concrete pipe. Using modern trenchless technologies, which allows replacing the pipeline without significant destruction of the road surface and with minimal intervention in the city infrastructure. Increasing the tightness and stability of the wastewater network by installing a new polyethylene pipe with improved operational characteristics. Ensuring a reduction in operating costs and the number of emergency repairs in the long term. To date, the existing collector has significant wear and tear, which leads to: regular emergencies and failure of the network section, loss of wastewater due to cracks and corrosion damage, increased risk of untreated wastewater entering the soil and water resources, which negatively affects the ecological state of the territory, increased costs for emergency and restoration work and the risk of termination of the provision of utility services to residents. After the project is implemented, it is expected to: ensure stable and uninterrupted provision of wastewater services to subscribers, reduce the number of accidents and leaks due to the use of a new pipe with a long service life, improve environmental safety by eliminating the possibility of contamination of soil and water bodies, ensure compliance of engineering networks with modern technical requirements and standards.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

The implementation of the project to rehabilitate the emergency section of the collector will allow: to ensure stable, continuous and trouble-free operation of the drainage system; to eliminate the risks of man-made accidents and sewage leaks; to increase the reliability of engineering infrastructure and its compliance with modern requirements; to reduce the costs of emergency repairs and increase the economic efficiency of network operation; to improve the environmental safety of the city and the living conditions of the population.
