General information

Description of the project

The project involves the reconstruction of an emergency section of a 250 mm diameter pressure sewer collector with a length of 464 m, running from Kosmonavtiv St., 59g in the village of Malodolynske to Svitla St., 51 in the town of Oleksandrivka, Odessa district, Odessa region. The existing pipeline is in unsatisfactory technical condition, which creates risks of accidents, wastewater leaks and deterioration of the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the surrounding area. The project involves the replacement of the existing pipeline with modern PE100 polyethylene pipes, reconstruction of sewer wells, restoration of road surface and landscaping after construction work. The implementation of the project will ensure reliable and uninterrupted operation of the drainage system, reduce the risk of emergencies and improve the sanitary condition of the territory, as well as guarantee stable transportation of domestic wastewater to the sewage treatment facilities of the city of Chornomorsk.

The purpose of the project

Main Goal:

Improving the condition of infrastructure

Secondary Goal:

Increasing compliance with modern standards, Improving the quality of services

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The project aims to improve the condition of the drainage system infrastructure by reconstructing the emergency section of the pressure sewer collector, which ensures the transportation of domestic wastewater to the sewage treatment plants of the city of Chornomorsk. The existing pipeline is in unsatisfactory technical condition and is characterized by a high level of physical wear, which creates risks of emergency situations, wastewater leaks and deterioration of the sanitary condition of the surrounding area. The current technical condition of the infrastructure does not meet modern requirements for the reliability and safe operation of drainage systems. The project includes replacing the existing pipeline with modern polyethylene pipes, reconstructing sewer wells, as well as restoring road surfaces and landscaping after construction work. The project will ensure reliable and uninterrupted operation of the drainage system, improve the quality of municipal services for the population, and bring the engineering infrastructure in line with modern technical standards.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

One of the key problems of the Chornomorsk city drainage system is the unsatisfactory technical condition of certain sections of pressure sewer collectors, in particular the section of the pipeline from Kosmonavtiv St., 59g in the village of Malodolynske to Svitla St., 51 in the town of Oleksandrivka. This pipeline has been in operation for a long time and has undergone significant physical wear, which leads to an increased risk of emergency situations. The wear of the pipeline creates risks of damage to the network, wastewater leaks into the environment, flooding of nearby areas and deterioration of the sanitary and epidemiological situation. In the event of accidents, disruptions in the functioning of the drainage system are possible, which can negatively affect residential development, social infrastructure facilities and the state of the environment. The urgency of the project implementation is due to the need to ensure the safe and uninterrupted functioning of the wastewater system, which is an important component of the city's municipal infrastructure. Further operation of the existing pipeline without reconstruction increases the likelihood of accidents and may lead to increased costs for emergency and restoration work. The implementation of the project will allow to eliminate the hazardous section of the network, increase the reliability of the wastewater system, reduce the risks of accidents and wastewater leaks, and also ensure stable transportation of domestic wastewater to the sewage treatment plants of the city of Chornomorsk. This will contribute to improving the sanitary condition of the territory and improving the quality of municipal services for the population.
