General information

Description of the project

The project involves the construction of an onshore wind power plant with an installed capacity of 297 MW in Vinnytsia region (on the territory of Pohrebyshchyna territorial community).

The implementation of the project is due to the relevance and need for the development of distributed generation in the regions of Ukraine (decentralization of generation) in order to ensure the stability of the energy system and energy independence, avoid the risks of power supply interruptions and cover the deficit in the energy system of Ukraine.

It is expected that the implementation of the project will have a positive impact on the development of decarbonization processes of operational activities, increase the share of electricity generated from renewable energy sources, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, and contribute to savings / reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

The purpose of the project

Main Goal:

Поява нових виробничих потужностей

Secondary Goal:

Contribution to climate or environmental goals

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

Creation (new construction) of a renewable energy generation facility (onshore wind power plant) with the aim of further selling the generated electricity in various segments of the electricity market, contributing to ensuring the sustainability of the energy system and energy independence, and achieving decarbonization goals.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

The construction of wind power plants in Ukraine is strategically important for ensuring the sufficiency of generating capacity in the energy system of Ukraine, in particular in important energy nodes of the energy system of Ukraine. Due to systemic risks for traditional generation, especially in war conditions, wind generation as objects of dispersed distributed generation becomes a reliable source of stable and environmentally friendly energy. The project will contribute to the creation of an alternative source of electricity supply in order to strengthen the stability of the energy system and energy independence; ensure the stability of electricity supply; increase the share of electricity generated from alternative energy sources; replace the use of fossil fuels; reduce greenhouse gas emissions; contribute to achieving national goals for mitigating the effects of climate change in the energy sectors; contribute to achieving sustainable development goals; ensure a "green" transition of business by 2050.
