General information

Description of the project

The project involves the comprehensive reconstruction of a two-story building (total area 285.8 m²) located at: Dnipropetrovsk region, Dnipro city, 5 Knyahyni Olhy st. The goal is to create a modern, energy-efficient and inclusive sports facility for 533 students in 57 groups who play chess and checkers. The project includes a complete replacement of engineering networks, major repairs of halls (5 halls), a toilet (2), an administrative building (1), training and auxiliary premises (corridors and premises for guards), as well as the purchase of necessary sports equipment and furniture. The facility has significant potential for training high-level athletes, as evidenced by the presence of 2 Masters of Sports, 6 Master of Sports, 42 I-category athletes and 4 athletes who are members of the national team of Ukraine. The total estimated cost of the turnkey project is is 21,500,000 UAH, with a completion date of 2028. The project takes into account the principles of barrier-free access.

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

Ensuring the implementation of citizens' rights to high-quality and accessible extracurricular education and professional and mass sports, creating a modern sports base to provide conditions for the training process of athletes of different levels of training, developing children's and youth sports, increasing the availability of sports services and improving training conditions. To create a modern, safe and inclusive sports infrastructure that will be able to provide high-quality conditions for the development of chess and checkers and meet the needs of 533 pupils in 57 groups. The goal is to train high-level athletes and promote a healthy lifestyle. Project objectives: To provide high-quality conditions for practicing the above sports. To create comfortable locker rooms, showers and administrative premises. To take into account the needs of people with disabilities. To increase the energy efficiency and safety of the building.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

The absence or deterioration of the city's sports infrastructure, which limits opportunities for sports. The needs of low-mobility population groups will be taken into account during project development. Placing sports sections on the territory of the institution and attracting more children and youth to sports and a healthy lifestyle. Creating new jobs for the service staff of the institution and its associated premises.
