Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

Implementation of the project using energy-efficient solutions in the General Secondary Education Institution of I-III levels and Preschool Education of the village of Pykulovichi, Novoyarychiv settlement council, Lviv district, Lviv region (hereinafter referred to as the Institution) energy efficiency class G - by thermal insulation of the facade of the institution building, minimizing the heat exchange of the premises inside the building with the environment, which will reduce heating costs in the winter, reduce energy consumption, save budget funds allocated for heating, which will allow creating proper and safe conditions for students and increase the service life of the Institution building. In addition, this will allow maintaining the temperature regime in accordance with sanitary standards and preserving the health of students staying in the Institution. The project envisages the implementation of measures that will ensure the reliable functioning of the protective structure during emergencies, armed aggression, effectively use this structure in peacetime and wartime for training, conducting practical activities on civil defense with students of educational institutions, institutions and organizations, and community residents. As a result of the project, architectural accessibility requirements for people with disabilities and other low-mobility groups will be ensured.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

Problems: Unsatisfactory technical condition of the building. Significant physical wear and tear of structures, roof, engineering networks and internal premises creates risks for the safe stay of participants in the educational process. Lack of proper shelter. Basements do not meet the requirements for the simplest shelters (no ventilation, emergency exit, proper conditions for people to stay in times of danger). Low level of energy efficiency of the building. Old windows, doors, uninsulated walls and outdated heating system lead to significant heat loss and excess energy consumption. Insufficient level of comfort and safety for children. School premises do not meet modern sanitary and fire safety standards, there are no comfortable conditions for younger students and kindergarten students. Lack of conditions for low-mobility groups of the population. The entrance group and internal premises do not have the necessary barrier-free elements (ramps, handrails, adapted bathrooms). Outdated lighting and water supply systems. The use of energy-intensive equipment and inefficient engineering solutions increases the budget for maintaining the facility. Project implementation results: Improvement of the technical condition of the building. After the overhaul, the school will comply with modern construction, fire and sanitary standards, which will ensure a safe and comfortable stay for children and employees. Creation of the simplest shelter. The basement will be equipped in accordance with the requirements of the State Emergency Service - ventilation, emergency lighting, water supply, sanitary facilities, benches, communication facilities and a supply of drinking water are provided. Increasing the energy efficiency of the building. Thanks to wall insulation, replacement of windows and doors, modernization of the heating system and installation of LED lighting, it is expected to reduce heat energy consumption by up to 30%. Improving the conditions of the educational process. Renovated and renovated premises will contribute to the creation of a comfortable educational environment, which will positively affect the quality of education and upbringing of children. Ensuring inclusiveness and accessibility. The project provides for the installation of a ramp, the arrangement of accessible entrances and bathrooms for people with disabilities and other low-mobility groups of the population. Rational use of budget funds. Modernization of engineering systems and the introduction of energy-saving technologies will reduce operating costs for maintaining the facility. Expected effect: creation of a safe and energy-efficient educational environment; increasing the institution's readiness for emergency situations; reducing energy consumption and utility costs; ensuring accessibility for all categories of the population; improving the quality of educational services in the community.
