General information

Description of the project

Today, the problem of wastewater treatment from the   neighborhood "Sugar Factory" in the city of Horodok remains unresolved, which leads to social tension and a difficult environmental situation. Currently, wastewater temporarily enters the settling tanks of the former sugar factory, which do not circulate, do not aerate, stagnate, rot and have an unpleasant odor that spreads over long distances. The project provides for the construction of a sewage pumping station, a hydroponic lagoon reactor (artificial river) building, utility – household premises to ensure the operation of the facility in one building, and the prospective construction of the 2nd block of sewage treatment facilities for further phases of residential development and reservation.

The purpose of the project

Main Goal:

Creation of new facilities and services

Secondary Goal:

Improving the quality of services, Meeting demand

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The goal is to ensure effective biological treatment of wastewater, neutralization and disinfection before its discharge into the environment in accordance with modern environmental requirements. To ensure environmental safety, to prevent the negative impact of economic activity on the environment. The goal will be achieved by the construction of treatment facilities using continuous flow technology with the installation of complete biological treatment of household wastewater BIOPAKS.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

The problem of wastewater treatment from the Sugar Factory microdistrict in the city of Horodok remains unresolved, which leads to social tension and a difficult environmental situation. Currently, wastewater is temporarily discharged into the settling tanks of the former sugar factory, which do not circulate, do not aerate, stagnate, rot and have an unpleasant odor that spreads over long distances. The development of housing in this microdistrict and industry, namely the construction of an industrial park in the city, will in the future cause an increase in the amount of wastewater, which will create a load on the existing drainage system.
