General information

Description of the project

The project is being implemented with the involvement of EIB loan funds and involves the restoration of physical elements necessary to ensure the functionality of the transport network, the restoration of the most economically important western transit links connecting Ukraine with EU countries, in particular Poland, Romania, and Hungary, the removal of existing obstacles and the improvement of the relevant infrastructure, as well as its connection with the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T)

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The aim of the Project is to restore the physical elements necessary to ensure the functionality of the transport network and restore the most economically important western transit links connecting Ukraine with EU countries, in particular Poland, Romania and Hungary, to increase the efficiency of internal logistics operations of freight transport by eliminating existing obstacles and improving the relevant infrastructure, as well as its connection with the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T).

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

The road and artificial structures require urgent major repairs. The unsatisfactory operational and technical condition of the road surface of road sections leads to a decrease in the capacity and quality of passenger and freight transportation and a decrease in road safety. The project will carry out major repairs of road sections, which will allow solving existing problems.
