General information

Description of the project

Creation of a modern educational space in Zbarazh Lyceum No. 3 named after Taras Romanovych Mykhalysky of the Zbarazh City Council of the Ternopil region and Dobrovodiv Lyceum named after Oleksandr Smakula of the Zbarazh City Council of the Ternopil region (which, according to the decision of the Zbarazh City Council session from September 1, 2027, will not provide educational services at the level of a senior specialized school), namely: a laboratory room and a theoretical training room in each educational institution. For this purpose, a major renovation of the premises of educational institutions will be carried out using local budget funds, and furniture, computer equipment and teaching aids will be purchased using subvention funds on co-financing terms.

Creation of an educational space in Zbarazh Lyceum No. 1 of the Zbarazh City Council of Ternopil region as a participant in an experimental project on the introduction of educational programs in secondary education institutions, developed on the basis of a typical educational program for grades 10-12 of secondary education institutions, which ensure the acquisition of specialized secondary education in an academic direction in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated March 11, 2026 No. 437. The project plans to modernize classrooms and create laboratories, purchase modern furniture, teaching materials, and multimedia equipment. To create a modern educational space, major repairs will be carried out to the premises of certain classrooms and laboratories. The implementation of the project will contribute to the introduction of new approaches to learning, the development of critical thinking, cooperation, and practical skills of students. It will also help create an inclusive, motivating, and innovative educational environment that meets the modern requirements of the Ukrainian education system.

The purpose of the project

Main Goal:

Improving the quality of services

Secondary Goal:

Increasing compliance with modern standards

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The goal of the project is to modernize the material and technical base of Zbarazhsky Lyceum No. 3 named after Taras Romanovych Mykhalysky of the Zbarazhsky City Council of the Ternopil region, Dobrovodiv Lyceum named after Oleksandr Smakula of the Zbarazhsky City Council of the Ternopil region - creating a safe, inclusive and motivating environment for the development of key competencies of education seekers, ensuring equal access to quality education. The ways to achieve the goal are to equip four classrooms with modern teaching aids and laboratory equipment, improving digital infrastructure, in particular by purchasing multimedia and computer equipment. The current state of the material base of the educational institution is less than 50% equipped with modern teaching aids, there is no sufficient material support and there is a need to equip modern educational space by carrying out repair work. Providing classrooms with modern equipment will allow moving from traditional education to a STEM approach, where theory is integrated with practice. This approach will provide students with the opportunity to conduct their own experiments and research, and not just observe them, which will contribute to the development of critical thinking, the ability to analyze data, formulate hypotheses and make well-founded conclusions. This will allow to educate a new generation of not just erudite, but also proactive young researchers. The material and technical support of the classrooms of the natural science and mathematics educational branch, which meets the requirements of the National School of Education, will help to make the process of studying natural sciences exciting and interactive. Visual experiments, virtual simulations and work with technologies significantly increase students' interest in subjects, which can affect their choice of future profession in fields related to science, technology, engineering and medicine. For the high-quality implementation of the NUS concept in educational institutions, classrooms must be equipped with high-quality laboratory equipment for demonstrations, practical and laboratory work, equipped with digital measuring instruments, multimedia equipment, appropriate software for modeling processes and phenomena, and equipped with new furniture. Studying in the latest classrooms will become a good basis for students to successfully pass the NMT and enter higher educational institutions for technical, engineering and medical specialties. The project will help to reduce the gap between theoretical knowledge obtained at school and the practical requirements of universities.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

Key problems that need to be solved: - outdated material and technical base of classrooms. Classrooms are equipped with equipment that is morally and physically outdated. The lack of modern laboratory equipment, multimedia tools and didactic materials makes it impossible to use innovative approaches and interactive teaching methods; - uncomfortable and worn-out premises. Poor lighting, worn floors and lack of modern repairs create uncomfortable conditions for students and teachers. This reduces children's motivation, worsens the perception of educational material and does not meet the requirements of the modern educational environment; - low level of digitalization and lack of ICT tools. Classrooms do not have the necessary equipment for the implementation of digital and competency-based learning. This hinders the implementation of the NUS standards, which provide for the active use of ICT, interactive platforms and multimedia tools; - non-compliance with inclusive and safety standards. The inadequate condition of premises and furniture does not provide safe learning conditions. The lack of modern equipment also limits the ability to organize an accessible educational process for all students; - infrastructure overload. Why are these problems relevant right now - The standards of the New Ukrainian School and modern educational methods require the use of digital technologies, laboratory equipment and a comfortable environment, which the school cannot provide due to outdated classrooms. Insufficient technical equipment limits the competitiveness of the institution and the quality of education, which is critically important in the conditions of the reformed education system. The implementation of the project will significantly improve the educational environment and provide high-quality learning conditions for current and future generations of students.
