Description of the project
Due to the full-scale Russian military aggression and the damage caused by it to the elements of the Ukrainian Unified Power System, the operating modes of the "Southern Ukrainian NPP - Dnipro" section in the current scheme of the electric grid and in the conditions of the available sources of generating equipment are currently extremely difficult and require the use of operational measures related to the redispatching of thermal and hydroelectric power plants in the daily dispatch schedule to maintain them. The active military actions of the Russian aggressor and the occupation of generating capacities lead to the fact that the operating modes of the power system in terms of ensuring the maximum permissible power flow in the specified controlled section may become even more complicated and will require the use of forced consumption restrictions in the eastern part of the Ukrainian Unified Power System. Currently, the operating modes of the electric grid and the existing generation composition of the Ukrainian Unified Power System have determined the maximum load of the "Southern Ukrainian NPP - Dnipro" section. Dnipro, while the highest load is achieved by the 330 kV Kvartsyt – Rudna overhead line. At the same time, due to the non-completion of the power grid construction on the part of the 330 kV Kvartsyt – substation, the 330 kV South Ukrainian NPP – Kvartsyt No. 1 overhead line was not connected according to the design scheme in 1992. Currently, the overhead line is connected to a protective voltage of 150 kV on the part of the 330 kV Kvartsyt – substation, and the 330 kV South Ukrainian NPP – Kvartsyt No. 2 overhead line operates at maximum permissible power values in emergency and repair modes.
