Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

Medical and technological problems of cardiac rehabilitation in Ukraine are an insufficient number of specialized centers. Ukraine does not have a sufficient network of cardiac rehabilitation departments in hospitals and sanatoriums. Rehabilitation after heart attacks, heart surgery or stenting is often limited to short-term observation in a hospital. Consequences: patients after discharge are left without proper support - high risks of repeated complications and mortality. Ukraine has a strong cardiac surgical school, but cardiac rehabilitation as a direction is practically not developed. The main problems: lack of centers, outdated equipment, lack of digital solutions, inequality between regions and lack of national standards. The reconstruction of the Rehabilitation Center "PRYMULA" will improve the quality of medical care in the field of cardiology and cardiac surgery, consultative diagnostics, rehabilitation of children with congenital heart defects and expand the range of rehabilitation services for patients of all age groups with acquired cardiovascular pathology, with extracardiac diseases and for military personnel after injuries and disability, improving the sanitary, technical and technological condition of the premises and buildings of the Branch of the State Institution "Center for Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine" "Rehabilitation Center "PRYMULA". Based on the experience of advanced Western European countries, which have achieved success not only in reducing child mortality and increasing life expectancy, but also in improving the quality of life of their population, it is proposed to create and implement a program for combining generations ("Bridge of Generations") in order to implement a long-term concept aimed at developing the national identity of the younger generation and improving the quality of life of elderly Ukrainians with the transfer of knowledge and skills to young people. Socio-medical rehabilitation of the elderly. The tasks that are planned to be solved as a result of the project implementation, in particular those related to the quality of life of people, the development of the territory (country), the quality of service provision, including socially significant ones, their accessibility and other problems. Both generations benefit from the project: children and elderly people experience such emotions and feelings as mutual respect, solidarity, joy. Children and adolescents learn attention and cordiality. The large space of the recreation area and the territory of the RC "PRYMULA" allows planning its further development. The main areas of activity of the RC "PRYMULA": • Cardiology: recovery after heart attacks, hypertension, vascular problems in adults. • Rehabilitation of children after cardiac surgeries and pre- and post-operative rehabilitation in the staged treatment of congenital heart defects. • Neurology: rehabilitation after strokes, treatment of multiple sclerosis, neuropathies. • PTSD: programs with elements of art therapy, psychotherapy, music therapy. • General recovery: physiotherapy, therapeutic massage, fitness for rehabilitation, healthy eating programs. • Creation of a campus for families with children who need staged surgical treatment and patients who are waiting for complex interventions (transplantation) and need medical supervision. Rehabilitation Center "PRYMULA" will provide comprehensive services for restoring health to people of all ages, combining modern medical technologies, natural resources and a personalized approach. Strategic advantages of RC "PRYMULA": • Part of a comprehensive network of treatment and rehabilitation of cardiovascular, pulmonary diseases and metabolic disorders. • Combination of medical services with rehabilitation in the forest area. • Water procedures: hydrotherapy pools, therapeutic spa programs, contrast baths. • Innovations: robotic rehabilitation, VR/AR for the treatment of PTSD, bioacoustic therapy. • Own medical park, terrain cures, walking areas. Target groups: • Children in need of physical or psychological rehabilitation. • Elderly people with chronic diseases or postoperative conditions. • Patients with cardiac and neurological disorders. • People with PTSD. • Those seeking overall physical or emotional recovery.
