General information

Description of the project

Transformation of the main center for providing administrative services of the city into a space of full accessibility, where every resident, regardless of physical abilities, can freely and with dignity receive state services. Creation of a modern European service center that guarantees equal rights and comfort for 100% of visitors, including people with disabilities, the elderly and families with children. The project was developed taking into account the requirements of DBN V.2.2-40:2018 "Inclusivity of buildings and structures".

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The project was developed taking into account the specifics of administrative buildings, where accessibility requirements are the highest (the principle of "Universal Design"), since absolutely all segments of the population use the services. Main goal: Ensuring the constitutional right of citizens to equal access to administrative and social services by creating a barrier-free space in the center of the city's administrative services. The project is aimed at fully adapting the facility to the needs of low-mobility population groups (MPG) in accordance with the requirements of DBN V.2.2-40:2018 "Inclusivity of buildings and structures". Key goals: Physical accessibility: Elimination of architectural obstacles to obtaining services (from parking to the administrator's desk). Information accessibility: Ensuring the possibility of obtaining information and navigation for people with visual impairments (blind, partially sighted) and hearing impairments. Dignity and Independence: Creating conditions under which a person with a disability can receive a service independently, without having to call for help to open doors or go to the restroom. Safety: Ensuring safe evacuation and movement within the premises.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

The project provides for: major repairs and arrangement of a toilet for the MGN (in accordance with DBN V.2.2-40:2018 "Inclusivity of buildings and structures. Basic provisions" with Amendments No. 1, 2); replacement of doors to ensure unhindered access for people with disabilities and other low-mobility groups to the premises of the ASC; installation of stainless steel railings on the stairs; repair of the ramp plaster.
