General information

Description of the project

The purpose of the project

Main goal:

Ensuring inclusiveness and equal opportunities

Secondary goal:

Improving the equality of wealth distribution, Improving the condition of infrastructure

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The main goal is to create a barrier-free and inclusive space that provides equal access to cultural heritage for all categories of visitors, regardless of their mobility or sensory capabilities. Strategic goals: Physical accessibility: Ensuring an unobstructed path "street - entrance - exhibition - bathroom - exit". Information accessibility: Adapting museum content for perception by people with visual, hearing or cognitive impairments. Social goal: Transforming the museum into a platform for inclusive events, veterans' meetings and educational programs for people with disabilities.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

The implementation of the major renovation project of the Local History Museum is aimed at transforming the "barrier" architecture of the Soviet model into a space of equal opportunities. In addition to technical renovation, the project creates a social effect: the museum becomes a key place for the rehabilitation and socialization of veterans, as well as a point of "inclusive tourism" of the international level. This emphasizes the role of Slavutych as a leader in barrier-free living in Ukraine.
