General information

Description of the project

The planned activity involves the construction of a specialized engineering structure intended for the disposal of solid household waste and conditionally inert waste - a MSW landfill on the territory of the Horodotsk urban territorial community, namely: - an access road; - a MSW storage area with a capacity of 35 tons/day - a sorting line for household waste with a capacity of up to 50 tons/day; - a utility area for the placement of administrative, household and utility rooms; - engineering structures and communications. During the operation of the sorting line, valuable raw materials suitable for further recycling are separated from the total volume of MSW: polymeric materials, glass, paper/cardboard, metals (ferrous/non-ferrous), etc. The sorting line uses a combined sorting method - mechanized-manual. The planned activities include the construction of a checkpoint with utility rooms, a control disinfection zone, a weighing station, a canopy for mechanisms and special equipment, administrative and utility rooms, fire tanks, drinking water tanks and a control and regulating filtrate collector, treatment facilities, a biogas collection and utilization system, and control wells.

The purpose of the project

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

New construction of a solid waste landfill on the territory of the Horodotskaya MTG. It is planned to build a specialized engineering structure intended for the disposal of solid waste and conditionally inert waste.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

Waste generated in the city of Horodok is buried at a local landfill, the occupancy of which currently reaches 100%. 47 rural settlements of the community have problems with natural landfills due to the lack of space for waste disposal. The construction of a new landfill for TVP will solve the existing problem.
