Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine has presented the Practical Guide “How to Ensure Accessibility of Buildings and Structures for People with Reduced Mobility: 10 Simple Steps.”
The Guide was designed based on the current legislation building standards, taking into account modern accessibility and inclusivity requirements. The Guide focuses on simple, clear, and practical solutions that can be applied during the design, reconstruction, or adaptation of spaces.
The Guide covers the key elements of physical accessibility — from access routes to buildings and barrier-free entrances to interior spaces, navigation, safe movement, and the arrangement of premises. Its main value lies in its practical approach: regulatory requirements are presented in simple and accessible language, making the material a useful basic reference for property owners and facility managers.
