Overview

Constitutional and legislative mandate The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine carries out its work in accordance with the Regulation on the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, approved by Resolution No. 228 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated July 2, 2014. The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine (hereinafter - the Ministry of Justice), in particular, ensures the formation and implementation of state legal policy , state policy on bankruptcy issues, in the field of notary, organization of enforcement of decisions of courts and other bodies (officials) (hereinafter - enforcement of decisions), state registration of acts of civil status, state registration of property rights to immovable property and their encumbrances, state registration of encumbrances movable property, state registration of legal entities, public formations that do not have the status of a legal entity, and individual entrepreneurs, registration of the statute of the territorial community of Kyiv, registration of the statutes of the National Academy of Sciences and national branch academies of sciences, state registration of printed mass media and information agencies as subjects of information activity, in the field of execution of criminal punishments and probation, in the field of legal education of the population; ensures the formation of state policy in the field of archival affairs and record keeping and the creation and functioning of the state documentation insurance fund system.

The political mandate of the Ministry of Justice carries out its work taking into account the provisions of the Program of Activities of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated June 12, 2020 No. 471, Decree of the President of Ukraine dated September 30, 2019 No. 722/2019 "Goals of sustainable development of Ukraine for the period up to 2030", the National Strategy in the Field of Human Rights, approved by the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated March 24, 2021 No. 119/2021, the Strategy for Reforming the Public Administration of Ukraine for the Period Until 2025, approved by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated July 21, 2021 No. 831-r , the National Economic Strategy for the period until 2030, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated March 3, 2021 No. 179, and taking into account the annual action plans for the implementation of the specified strategic documents, as well as other documents of a strategic and programmatic nature.

Mission of the Ministry of Justice: The Ministry of Justice protects human and state rights.

The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine protects a person, his rights and property, ensures the fulfillment of contracts, reduces the level of repeated crime and provides free legal protection of a person who finds himself in a difficult life situation. The Ministry of Justice creates conditions for transparent, fast and efficient provision of services to every person, ensuring ease of doing business, increasing the degree of public trust and confidence.
