General information

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a grant of 5 billion hryvnias for the provision of shelters in general secondary and vocational education institutions.
Funds are distributed among 77 educational institutions for projects in 8 front-line and border regions with Russia. Of these, 24 are sheltered in VET institutions and 53 are in schools.
The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine determined the need for shelters for these institutions, using a comprehensive approach to infrastructure planning. More than 10 different indicators and simulations using Palantir technology were used to estimate shelter needs.
Needs were assessed taking into account not only quantitative indicators, where the number of schools is equal to the number of shelters.
