Zhytomyr Lyceum No. 23 is located in the central part of the city on St. Borysa Lyatoshinskyi, 14. The complex configuration of the lyceum, the planning scheme consists of three separate buildings connected by warm transitions: the building of primary classes, the building of senior classes and the building of the dining hall with a sports hall. The main educational building is four-story, connected by a warm transition with a one-story building in which a dining room (food block) and a sports hall are located.
The existing planning solution of the food block was implemented with a violation of the flow of technological processes.
Therefore, this project proposes to carry out redevelopment due to the implementation of new brick and plastic technological partitions, new doorways breaking through the capital walls.
A buffet is designed in the hall in front of the dining room with a transition to the dining room. In the period when the dining room is still or no longer working, you can buy warm drinks, sandwiches or buttery pastries, which are produced in this kitchen.
Also in the hall, in front of the dining room, there are designed hand basins. The wash basin area is separated by a decorative partition.Equipment of premises
Furnishing of the premises should be done with modern certified materials that have permission to be used in educational institutions in the premises of the food block.
Dining hall - walls, painted with interior paint of the second class of abrasion resistance, ceiling - combined, cubic slat with elements of GKL boxes, floor - ceramic large-sized tiles with a non-slip surface. The columns of the hall are decorated with chipboard panels with lighting elements.
Kitchen premises, auxiliary premises and staff living quarters - walls, facing with ceramic tiles to the entire height or to a height of 2.0 m. Ceiling, painting with interior paint of the second class of abrasion resistance. According to the certificate, 16 children with disabilities study at the lyceum, five of whom have musculoskeletal disorders.
For the access of persons with disabilities to the hall in front of the food block and to the dining room, doors with a width of at least 1.0 m are designed. Elements of the door leaf should be decorated with contrasting stripes.
In the area of handwashers, one (first) handwasher is provided for people in wheelchairs, which requires its fixing at the appropriate height.
In the dining hall there are seats for wheelchair users.Technological solutions
General part
The technological part of the project "Overhaul of the Lyceum food block No. 23 in Zhytomyr named after M. Ochereta at the address: Zhytomyr, 14 B. Lyatoshinskogo str." developed on the basis of:
1. Design tasks;
2. Architectural and construction part of the project;
3. State regulatory documents in effect in Ukraine at the time of the issuance of the documentation.

Lyceum No. 23 of the city of Zhytomyr is located in the central part of the city, at 14 B. Lyatoshynskogo Street. The Lyceum consists of three separate buildings connected by warm transitions: the building of primary classes, the building of senior classes and the building of the canteen with a sports hall.
The dining room is built as a basic kitchen. The food block is technologically divided into zones:
- area for receiving and storing raw materials (loading area, pantry for dry products and vegetables, room with cooling cabinets);
- procurement area (vegetable shop, meat and fish shop, flour shop);
- service and household area (premises of the head of the food block, staff, shower room, bathroom);
- main preparation area (hot and cold workshop);

- Project solutions
This project envisages the dismantling of all existing partitions of the food block. New premises of appropriate sizes have been designed, which provides the opportunity to place new technological equipment.
The new design solutions include a loading area with product storage areas, an administrative and household area, a procurement area, a washing area, a main preparation area, and a ready-to-eat delivery area. For the convenience of personnel movement and to eliminate cross traffic, new doorways have been designed.
In front of the entrance to the dining room, there is an area for washing hands. The number of hand washers is calculated in accordance with DBN B.2.2-3:2018, clause 6.51.
The area of the dining hall is 192.0 m2, in accordance with clause 6.49, 1.0 m2 is accepted for one seat. Taking into account the clearances from the distribution line, the walls, the width of the aisles and between the tables, there is the capacity to accommodate 160 learners and 2 places for people with disabilities in wheelchairs.
Accordingly, the number of wash basins is: 162 : 40 = 4 pcs. hand washer Taking into account the wishes of the Lyceum administration, the number of hand washers has been increased to 5.
The selection of technological equipment and its quantity was made using the equipment calculator from the website https://znaimo.gov.ua/equipment-calculator .
According to the certificate provided by the customer, 1,395 students are fed, an average of 7 meals per day is provided for each student. The number of conditional meals per day is 9,765 meals.
