Project name
"New construction of sewage treatment facilities in the city of Kamianka-Buzka, Lviv region" (Correction)
Brief description of the project
The existing sewage treatment facilities in the city of Kamianka-Buzka are designed for full biological treatment of municipal and industrial wastewater in a volume of 2100 m³/day. Under the influence of the corrosive environment and the lack of major repairs for almost 60 years, the internal structures of the primary settling tanks have lost stability and structural strength. Imperfect infrastructure creates risks for public health, deterioration of environmental sustainability and economic development. The project aims to overcome the problem by comprehensive improvement of water supply, drainage, wastewater treatment and water resources management. The construction of treatment facilities in the city of Kamianka-Buzka, with an increase in their productivity, will make it possible to improve the quality of treated wastewater, reduce the negative impact of the discharge of treated wastewater into a surface source, and improve the state of the ecosystem of the Kamianka and Zahidny Bug rivers.
