At the time of military aggression from the Russian Federation, ensuring a safe educational process in educational institutions became an urgent issue. As it turned out, the primary institutions were not ready for such a development of events and therefore, at an accelerated pace, they are bringing the shelter up to the norms of the current legislation. The largest educational institution and the only support institution in our community is the Orzhysk Secondary School of grades I-III named after I. Ya. Frank of the Orzhysk Settlement Council of the Poltava Region.
There is no shelter that would meet the requirements of a bomb shelter. Within a radius of 5 km. there are critical infrastructure objects that can be potentially dangerous, these are: JSC "Poltavaoblenergo" electric substation, 3 gas stations, 3 gas stations, LLC "Orzhitskyi molokozavod", LLC "Combined feed plant "Svitoch", TDV "Orzhitskyi zavod "Rayduga". The facility borders the "Orzhytsk Hospital" KNP (30 m. - the distance between the territories of the institutions). The availability of shelter is vital for an educational institution.
The staff of the institution and the parent team carried out preparatory work on the conversion of the basement into the "simplest shelter". The Department of Education ordered the development of design and estimate documentation "Overhaul of a part of the basement - the simplest shelter of the support institution "Orzhytsia Secondary School I-III degrees named after I. Ya. Frank of the Orzhytsk settlement council of the Poltava region", on Tsentralna street, 16, Orzhytsia township, Lubensky district Poltava Region". The total cost of the project is 7.7 million hryvnias. The works were partially completed in 2022-2023 at the expense of state and local budgets in the amount of UAH 4,523,843,000. Construction of forced ventilation was carried out, electrical wiring was replaced, the floor was laid with tiles, shower and toilet cubicles were installed, and a 100 kW electric generator was installed.
At the same time, it is necessary to continue the work and ensure the arrangement of the shelter in accordance with the requirements of the current legislation.
The indicator of achieving the results of the project is a safe shelter for the participants of the educational process, which provides an opportunity for continuous education for children.
