As a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the number of servicemen who have been injured and need rehabilitation services has sharply increased. The rehabilitation process of such servicemen is long-term, and the existing capacity of rehabilitation institutions is not enough to provide rehabilitation services to all persons who need them. The State Non-Profit Enterprise “Center for Comprehensive Rehabilitation “Galicia”” (hereinafter – the Center) belongs to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Social Policy – a rehabilitation institution that, since May 2022, has specialized in prosthetics and rehabilitation of servicemen with upper and lower limb amputations. Over the years of its operation, the Center has become the largest rehabilitation institution in Ukraine, employing highly qualified specialists and creating a powerful material and technical base to ensure the provision of rehabilitation services. The Center's specialists were the first in Ukraine to develop and implement a model of comprehensive rehabilitation (patented as an intellectual invention under No. 49976 dated May 25, 2010), which was recognized not only in Ukraine but also abroad. The Center, which operates as a state non-profit enterprise, is one of the critically important in the field of rehabilitation of military personnel, is financed on the basis of the Medical Services Agreement concluded with the National Health Service of Ukraine, and meets the requirements set by the medical guarantees program for providers of rehabilitation care for adults and children in inpatient and outpatient settings. Today, 270 people are being treated at the Center (20 of whom are placed overtime), but this capacity is critically insufficient to meet the need for rehabilitation of all military personnel. Therefore, it is necessary to complete the construction of the rehabilitation complex and expand the capacity of the specified institution to 500 beds. This will contribute to providing high-quality rehabilitation services to military personnel with upper and lower limb amputations
