Environment

The environment involves the balanced use of the country's natural resources, protection of the natural environment, and the achievement of sustainable development.
This pipeline will present public investment projects and programs in the environmental sector, which correspond to environmental protection areas, as well as to activities within the exclusion zone; waste management, including radioactive waste; forest protection, forestry and hunting management; water protection, development of water management, administration, use, and restoration of surface water resources; and subsoil use. These initiatives are aimed at supporting the implementation of the State Environmental Policy Strategy of Ukraine. The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine is engaged in the preparation and development of projects and programs in these areas, forming a sectoral project pipeline at the national level, and subsequently enriching it with public investment projects at the regional and local levels.
Indicative total public investment ceiling is 702'526'600 UAH, including funds from the State Radioactive Waste Management Fund in the amount of 591'526'600 UAH and funds from the State Water Management Development Fund in the amount of 111'000'000 UAH

RECONSTRUCTION AND COMPREHENSIVE RESTORATION OF THE RESERVOIR'S OPERATIONAL CHARACTERISTICS
PARTIAL CLEARING AND DREENING OF THE RUNWAY WITHOUT COMPLETE RECONSTRUCTION OF STRUCTURES
The alternative technical solution involves the reconstruction and comprehensive restoration of the operational characteristics of the hydraulic structures of the Osnytskyi Reservoir with the return of the design geometric parameters of the reservoir bed. The planned measures include: major repairs of hydraulic structures (in particular, spillway and water-regulating elements); cleaning and widening of the channel part with the restoration of design depths; ensuring stable water regulation and preventing further siltation; increasing the reliability of structures and the level of flood protection of adjacent territories; preventing the negative impact of flooding on agricultural lands and infrastructure. The proposed solution will ensure the long-term and safe operation of the reservoir, stabilization of the hydrological regime and improvement of the ecological state of the facility.

Major repairs of the Main Lock (modernization)
Current (partial) repair of the lock It involved the elimination of individual defects without a comprehensive update of structures and mechanisms. This solution was recognized as insufficient, as it does not provide long-term reliability, does not reduce accident risks and leads to an increase in operating costs in the future.
Technical solutions: installation of modern sector or lifting and lowering gates; complete replacement of hydraulic and electrical equipment; automated control system (SCADA); implementation of deformation and filtration monitoring systems.
