General information

Description of the project

Accessibility of preventive health care remains a key challenge for health systems. Women in the region need special attention for early detection of cancer. For children, early detection of spinal diseases is a crucial factor in prevention. The level of integration, awareness and promotion of necessary preventive measures remains insufficient. Joint efforts in the field of diagnostics and improvement of health infrastructure will be an important contribution to solving these problems.

The project will create a Center for Preventive Research and Rehabilitation in Lutsk, the goal of which is to improve access to a wide range of preventive care in the Volyn region. The initiative provides for major repairs of medical and non-medical premises, equipping them with equipment, furniture and computer technology; purchasing ultrasound machines and other expensive medical equipment, holding experience exchange events for medical personnel, developing and implementing preventive programs for early detection of cancer in women, as well as detection, rehabilitation and prevention of musculoskeletal diseases in children.
