General information
Description of the project
This is an initiative to promote and integrate into the tourist network a unique historical site - the "Strazhnytsia" watchtower. The project involves research, preservation, information content and the creation of tourist infrastructure around the monument.
The purpose of the project

To transform Strazhnytsia into an attractive point of cultural and educational tourism, combining historical heritage, local legends and a modern interactive approach to presenting the past.
1. Preservation of historical and cultural heritage:
- Protection and conservation of the watchtower ("Strazhnytsia") as a unique cultural heritage site
2. Community involvement and formation of a local brand:
- Creation of conditions for the participation of local residents in tourist activities, promotion of the territory and development of small businesses (guides, souvenirs, craft products).
3. Integration into regional tourist routes:
- Inclusion of the site in local and interregional routes (historical, hiking, cycling or cultural and educational).
Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation
The historical and cultural heritage of the village of Balanovka, in particular the watchtower "Strazhnytsia", remains little known, neglected and not used as a resource for tourism and community development. The lack of proper preservation, infrastructure, information support and inclusion in tourist routes leads to the loss of a valuable object of memory, and wasted opportunities for the cultural and economic development of the region.
