General information

Description of the project

The project involves insulating part of the facade of the building of the Novoukrainsk Lyceum "Leader" of the Novoukrainsk City Council at the address: Kirovohrad region, Novoukrainka city, Soborna st., 46/16 with TECHNOVENT STANDARD mineral slabs with subsequent decoration; insulating window slopes; replacing window blocks with energy-saving ones; installing a blind area around the perimeter of the building; installing a porch and ramp to ensure unhindered access for people with disabilities and other low-mobility groups at the central entrance to the building.

The purpose of the project

Main Goal:

Increasing compliance with modern standards

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The goal of the project is to create a safe, energy-efficient and inclusive educational environment at the Novoukrainsk Lyceum "Leader" by insulating the facade and modernizing the building in accordance with modern building codes and accessibility requirements. The project is aimed at increasing the energy efficiency of the institution, reducing operating costs, improving learning conditions and ensuring equal access for all population groups, including people with disabilities. Ways to achieve the goal Energy efficiency and heat conservation insulating the facade of the building with TEHNOVENT STANDARD mineral slabs; insulating window slopes; replacing old window blocks with modern energy-saving structures. Protecting the building and continuing its operation arranging a blind area around the perimeter of the building to protect the foundation from moisture damage. Inclusivity and barrier-free access installation of a porch and ramp at the central entrance to ensure access for people with disabilities and low-mobility groups. Justification of the gap between the current and target state Currently, the facade of the building has a low level of thermal insulation, which leads to significant heat loss, high heating costs and deterioration of the microclimate in the premises. The existing window blocks are morally and physically outdated, do not meet modern energy-efficient standards. The building is not accessible to people with disabilities and other low-mobility groups, which creates barriers to equal access to education. As a result of the project, the building will achieve a modern level of energy efficiency, significantly reduce operating costs, extend its service life and create comfortable and inclusive conditions for all participants in the educational process.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

The existing building is two-story, separately located, with a basement under part of the building. The building has three entrances and exits from the premises. Accessibility for people with reduced mobility is ensured by the existing entrances and the designed ramp at the central entrance. According to the report on the inspection of the technical condition of the building structures of the Novoukrainsky Lyceum "Leader", the technical condition of the structural elements and the building as a whole is classified as satisfactory. Key problems to be solved by the project: Low energy efficiency of the building - lack of proper insulation of the facade and outdated window blocks lead to significant heat loss, high heating costs and discomfort for students and employees. Protection of the building from moisture and destruction - the absence or wear of the curb creates a risk of flooding and damage to the foundation. Insufficient inclusivity – barrier-free access for people with disabilities and low-mobility groups is currently partially provided, the lack of a convenient ramp limits their ability to visit the institution. These problems are relevant now, since failure to address energy efficiency issues causes excessive spending of budget funds, worsens learning conditions and reduces the safety of the building. The lack of inclusive infrastructure contradicts state accessibility standards and the principles of equality in education. In the event of project implementation, it is expected to: reduce energy costs, extend the life of the building, increase the comfort and safety of students, create conditions for unhindered access for all population groups, as well as ensure that the institution meets modern requirements for energy efficiency and inclusion.

Demand for the service and its dynamics

What methodology was used to estimate demand?
