General information

Description of the project

The project involves carrying out a set of fire protection measures in the lyceum by treating the wooden structures of the building with special fire-retardant materials in Novoukrainsk Lyceum No. 8 of the Novoukrainsk City Council of the Kirovograd region. The work covers the rafter system, floors, beams and other elements that may be potentially vulnerable to fire. The use of certified materials will significantly increase the level of fire safety and ensure the institution's compliance with state norms and standards.

The purpose of the project

Main Goal:

Increasing compliance with modern standards

Secondary Goal:

Improving the condition of infrastructure

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The goal is to create safe living conditions for students and employees of the educational institution, reduce the risk of fire occurrence and spread, protect people's lives and health, and preserve the community's material assets by treating the building's wooden structures with special fire-retardant materials.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

Problems: The wooden roof structures of the lyceum (with an area of 1912 sq. m) were treated back in 2017, and their fire protection lost its effectiveness over time. During the inspection of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kirovohrad region (Novoukrainsk district department), violations of fire safety requirements were detected and instruction No. 26 dated 09.06.2025 was drawn up. There is an increased risk of ignition of wooden structures and the spread of fire, which threatens the lives of students and staff and the property of the institution. Solution results: Re-fireproofing of wooden roof structures will restore their protection and compliance with fire safety requirements. Reducing the risk of ignition and spread of fire in the event of an emergency. Ensuring safe conditions for the stay of students and staff of the lyceum. Elimination of violations identified during the inspection and implementation of the instruction of the State Emergency Service.
