General information

Description of the project

Currently, the educational institution is operating in full-time mode. At the same time, 160 people (students, teachers, service personnel) are in it every day. During the "Air Alert", all participants in the educational process are in a shelter where there is no forced ventilation system. Air ventilation is not forced, but by natural  air flow. The implementation of the project will have a positive impact on ensuring effective conditions for the educational process at school during the lockdown and Air Alerts, as well as on the health of the institution's students as a whole.

The purpose of the project

Main Goal:

Increasing compliance with modern standards

Secondary Goal:

Improving the condition of infrastructure

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The goal is to ensure safe and proper conditions for students and employees of the educational institution during air raids and other emergencies. The project is aimed at bringing the shelter into compliance with the requirements of the current legislation of Ukraine and the recommendations of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. To achieve the goal, it is planned to carry out a major repair of the shelter premises and install a modern supply and exhaust ventilation system with mechanical drive. The work will include the installation of ventilation equipment, air ducts, air purification systems. The implementation of the project will ensure regulatory air exchange, safe sanitary conditions and the possibility of people staying in the shelter for a long time in accordance with the requirements of state building codes.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

Currently, the educational institution is operating in full-time mode. At the same time, 160 people (students, teachers, service personnel) are in it every day. During the "Air Alarm", all participants in the educational process are in a shelter, where a forced ventilation system is not provided. Air ventilation occurs unforced, but by natural air flow. Therefore, when the shelter is filled with people, the air feels heavy, humidity increases, and there is an urgent need for its forced ventilation. The implementation of the project involves the installation of a modern supply and exhaust ventilation system, which will ensure regulatory air exchange in accordance with the recommendations of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, create safe conditions for students and employees, and allow the shelter to be used for its intended purpose during air alarms.
