General information

Description of the project

Konotop Central District Hospital named after Academician M. Davydov is one of the main medical institutions of the Sumy region and provides its services to a significant number of internally displaced persons who have found shelter in the community and the population of both the  Konotop community (Konotop and 3 rural areas) and the entire region, which is more than 150 thousand people. Residents of communities in the neighboring Chernihiv region also use certain types of hospital services. The hospital provides medical services for outpatient and inpatient treatment on an ongoing basis. On average, the hospital serves more than 13 thousand inpatient patients per year, has 105 thousand outpatient visits per year. The surgical building is a separate building, which, in addition to surgery, houses the hemodialysis and urology departments, and a laboratory. On average, patients spend 29,500 bed-days in the building per year, 3,277 patients are treated. Today, the building needs reconstruction, the conditions no longer meet modern requirements, which does not allow to provide proper comfort for patients, and affects the efficiency of the staff.

The design solutions provide for the installation of modern equipment in the heating station and automatic regulation of the coolant temperature depending on the outdoor air temperature, the replacement of all heating devices with the installation of thermostats, the installation of automatic hydraulic balancing valves on the risers of the heating system, the installation of photovoltaic modules and solar vacuum collectors on the roof, the installation of attic floor insulation, the installation of thermal insulation of the walls of the building with mineral wool insulation with wet facade technology, the replacement of external doors at the entrances to the building, the replacement of window blocks, the insulation of the basement of the building above and below ground level. According to the act of the State Emergency Service, part of the basement floor is adapted for the simplest shelter with a total area of 37.50 m2 with a capacity of 60 people. The project envisages the renovation of all basement premises in order to increase the number of sheltered persons to 213 people, and to bring the premises to a proper sanitary condition.
