General information

Description of the project

The project involves the creation of a network of five innovation development and entrepreneurship support centers in the city of Kryvyi Rih. They will become modern spaces for training, research, and support for youth and business initiatives, particularly in the areas of the "green" economy, digital technologies, and creative industries. The implementation of the project will contribute to the development of human capital, the formation of a startup ecosystem, and the increase in the competitiveness of the community.

The purpose of the project

Main Goal:

Introducing innovations and energy-efficient solutions

Secondary Goal:

Contribution to climate or environmental goals, Increasing compliance with modern standards, Creation of new facilities and services, Improving the equality of wealth distribution, Creation of new jobs through project implementation

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The goal of the project is to create a network of innovation development and entrepreneurship support centers in the city of Kryvyi Rih that will provide modern opportunities for training, research and launching new business initiatives. The centers will contribute to the formation of an innovation culture among young people and adults, the development of entrepreneurial and digital competencies, the emergence of startups in the field of the "green" economy, creative industries and new technologies. The goal will be achieved in stages: through the launch of a pilot center with an area of 150 m² in 2026, the creation of four more spaces of 500 m² in 2027–2028, equipping them with modern equipment, implementing educational programs, acceleration tools and developing partnerships with universities, business and international organizations. Today, the city lacks specialized infrastructure for innovative entrepreneurship and supporting youth startups, and the existing educational and co-working spaces are fragmented and unable to ensure systemic development. This limits young people's access to modern knowledge and mentoring support, reduces the chances of startups to successfully scale up, and prevents Kryvyi Rih from realizing its potential as an innovation center. The proposed project will bridge this gap by creating a sustainable network that will annually attract hundreds of participants, launch new projects, and create jobs, strengthening the competitiveness of the community.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

The key problems that the project should address are the lack of modern infrastructure in the city for the development of innovation and entrepreneurship, limited opportunities for young people and entrepreneurs to obtain practical knowledge and mentoring support, as well as weak integration of the community into the processes of the circular economy, energy efficiency and European development standards. The relevance of these problems is due to the post-war reconstruction, the need to diversify the economy of Kryvyi Rih and the growing demand for "green" and digital competencies. If these challenges are not addressed, the community risks losing competitive advantages, young people will leave for other cities and countries, and business will remain inefficient and dependent on traditional resource-intensive models. The implementation of the project will create an ecosystem to support innovation, activate the development of local startups, promote youth employment, increase energy efficiency and integrate the city into the European space of sustainable development.

What methodology was used to estimate demand?

Yes

[Response was provided in the Preliminary Investment Feasibility Study]

Is the project of interest to small and medium-sized enterprises?
Yes

[Response was provided in the Preliminary Investment Feasibility Study]

Will the project involve national or international suppliers and contractors?
Yes, both national and international

[Response was provided in the Preliminary Investment Feasibility Study]

Has an analysis of available procurement options been conducted for the technical solution?
Yes

[Response was provided in the Preliminary Investment Feasibility Study]

What procurement strategy was chosen for the project implementation, and what justifies its feasibility in the context of the market and project objectives?

[Response was provided in the Investment Feasibility Study]

What approaches are planned to be used to ensure transparency, competition, and efficiency in the procurement process?

[Response was provided in the Investment Feasibility Study]

What types of procurement procedures are envisaged by the project (open tender, negotiated procedure, competitive dialogue, etc.)?

[Response was provided in the Investment Feasibility Study]

Pre-market engagement

[Response was provided in the Investment Feasibility Study]

Potential market participants

[Response was provided in the Investment Feasibility Study]

Market readiness assessment
