General information

Description of the project

The project involves the installation of a 50 kW ground-based solar power plant (using photovoltaic modules) to power the central water intake in the city of Mena. The plant will be integrated into the facility's power system via inverters that will convert direct current into alternating current to power the pumping equipment. In the event of excess electricity production, it will be stored in batteries for later backup use. The project implementation includes the development of design and estimate documentation, modernization of the water intake electrical networks taking into account the connection of the solar plant, as well as the installation of an energy storage system for uninterrupted operation of the facility.

The purpose of the project

Main Goal:

Improving the quality of services

Secondary Goal:

Increasing compliance with modern standards, Introducing innovations and energy-efficient solutions

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

Ensuring stable water supply for residents of the city of Mena through the introduction of an environmentally friendly and cost-effective energy source for water intake. The project includes the purchase, delivery, installation and commissioning of a set of equipment for a solar power plant with a total capacity of 47.6 kW (80 photovoltaic modules of 595 W each), an inverter and battery system with the appropriate infrastructure.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

The lack of a backup power source at the city's central water intake leaves 10,000 people without water supply services. . To ensure uninterrupted power supply to the central water intake, which is a critical infrastructure facility, drinking water must be supplied around the clock. The implementation of the project will reduce energy costs and minimize the negative impact on the environment.
