General information

Description of the project

The project is aimed at creating a modern educational space, namely the purchase of teaching aids and equipment, computer and multimedia equipment, furniture for the STEM space of the natural sciences education branch for studying biology and physics of the Supporting Educational Institution "Reshetylivskyi Lyceum named after I.L. Oliynyk of Reshetylivskyi Council" of Poltava region. STEM space is a means of learning, an innovative educational environment in which children study natural sciences through experiments and experiments.

The purpose of the project

Main Goal:

Increasing compliance with modern standards

Secondary Goal:

Increasing compliance with modern standards, Ensuring inclusiveness and equal opportunities, Introducing innovations and energy-efficient solutions, Improving the quality of services

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The main goal of the project is to modernize the existing educational space and improve the quality of educational services in the lyceum by creating a modern, functional and safe educational environment for studying physics and biology, which meets the requirements of the New Ukrainian School and the principles of STEM education. The goal is expected to be achieved through: - updating and equipping classrooms with modern laboratory and demonstration equipment; - creating conditions for conducting full-fledged practical and experimental classes; - implementing innovative educational approaches (STEM, research and project learning); - increasing the professional capacity of teachers in the use of modern equipment; - ensuring a safe and inclusive educational environment for all participants in the educational process.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

Due to the insufficient amount of equipment, training is mainly theoretical in nature, which reduces the quality of knowledge acquisition. By creating conditions for regular laboratory and practical work, students will have the opportunity to conduct experiments on their own, which will contribute to a deeper understanding of the educational material. The lack of an interactive and modern approach to teaching natural sciences reduces student interest. The introduction of STEM methods, project-based learning, and the use of new equipment will make the educational process more dynamic and interesting, which will increase motivation to study physics and biology. Limited opportunities for practical activities do not allow students to fully develop key competencies, in particular critical thinking and the ability to apply knowledge in practice. The implementation of the project will ensure the integration of research activities into the educational process, which will contribute to the development of these skills. Also, the existing educational space does not fully comply with modern safety standards and the requirements of the New Ukrainian School. The project will modernize classrooms taking into account safety standards, ergonomics, and the principles of inclusiveness, which will create comfortable and safe conditions for learning. As a result of the project, a modern educational environment will be created that will improve the quality of educational services, develop students' practical skills, and form their sustainable interest in natural sciences.
