General information

Description of the project

Currently, the material and technical base of the operating block on the 2nd floor of the Administrative Building (letter "B") is morally and technically outdated and does not allow to provide modern surgical assistance to the population of Kyiv. The operating room and other rooms in the operating blocks require major repairs: in terms of decoration and internal engineering networks, the rooms also do not meet modern requirements for ventilation, air conditioning, and medical gas supply, the medical equipment in these rooms is outdated, worn out and requires constant repair and restoration.

Carrying out major repairs to part of the rooms on the 2nd floor of the Administrative Building (letter "B") for the operating block of the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 4 with the arrangement of a modern central sterilization department and the purchase of new medical equipment will allow:

- to expand the possibilities of providing medical surgical assistance in the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 4;

- create modern conditions for conducting surgical interventions using clean room technology;

- equip the operating room with modern new medical equipment;

- significantly increase the quantitative and qualitative capabilities of the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 4 in terms of sterilization and disinfection of materials and equipment;

- increase the number of operations to help the population of Kyiv, Kyiv region and Ukraine as a whole.

The purpose of the project

Main Goal:

Secondary Goal:

Improving the condition of infrastructure, Improving the quality of services, Meeting demand

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

In order to improve the quality of medical and surgical care in the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 4, it is planned to carry out a major renovation of part of the premises on the 2nd floor of the Administrative Building (letter "B") for the operating block of the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 4 with the arrangement of a modern central sterilization department and the purchase of new medical equipment.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

The operating rooms and other rooms in the operating blocks require major repairs: in terms of decoration and internal engineering networks, the rooms do not meet modern requirements for ventilation, air conditioning, and medical gas supply, the medical equipment in these rooms is outdated, worn out, and requires constant repair and restoration. Currently, there is a need to combine all specialized operating rooms into a common operating block on the 2nd floor and create a common "clean" zone of the operating block, bring the logistics of moving medical personnel and patients in the operating block into line with modern sanitary and medical requirements, and provide the operating block with a single general medical air conditioning and gas supply system. In addition to the clinical function, the updated block will become a base for medical training and simulations, the development of an educational medical hub at the city and state levels. A reliable operating cluster will be formed, capable of operating in conditions of war, crises, and future recovery. After the modernization of the operating room, it will be possible to perform 9,500 surgical operations per year.
