General information

Description of the project

The project involves the comprehensive creation of a modern pedestrian infrastructure along Stepova Street in the village of Vapnyarka. The implementation includes: Construction of a pedestrian path: laying a reliable hard surface (paving slabs), which will separate the pedestrian zone from the road. Ensuring 100% barrier-free access: arranging lowered curbs and laying tactile tiles at pedestrian crossings. Installation of street lighting: installing modern energy-efficient street lights along the new route. Arrangement of recreation and sanitation areas: installing comfortable benches for seating and trash cans. Greening: planting green plantings to create a buffer zone between the road and pedestrians.

The purpose of the project

Main Goal:

Creation of new facilities and services

Secondary Goal:

Improving the condition of infrastructure

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

Creating a safe, inclusive and environmentally friendly space for pedestrian traffic by building a new pedestrian path with elements of comprehensive landscaping (lighting, landscaping, recreation areas) along Stepova Street in the village of Vapnyarka. The project implementation involves a comprehensive approach: from earthworks and laying hard pavement taking into account barrier-free standards (lowered curbs, tactile tiles) to the installation of energy-efficient street lighting, bins, benches for rest and planting green spaces that will separate the pedestrian zone from the roadway.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

High level of danger to life and health (traffic accidents): Shared use of the roadway by cars and pedestrians, especially in conditions of poor visibility or icy conditions, creates a critical risk of traffic accidents. Lack of inclusiveness (barrieriness): Infrastructure excludes the possibility of independent and safe movement for people with disabilities and other representatives of low-mobility groups. Unsatisfactory sanitary, ecological and aesthetic condition: The lack of a garbage collection system (bins), proper drainage and landscaping leads to pollution of the territory, accumulation of dust and general deterioration of the appearance of the street.
