General information

Description of the project

The project involves the construction of a new complex for the Naval Lyceum named after Vice Admiral Volodymyr Bezkorovaynyi in the Avangardivska community. The complex will include administrative, educational, residential and barracks, sports and leisure and technical areas, which will provide modern conditions for education, accommodation and physical training of lyceum students, as well as expand the capabilities of the institution compared to the current limited base in Odessa.

The purpose of the project

Main Goal:

Improving the condition of infrastructure

Secondary Goal:

Improving the equality of wealth distribution

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The goal of the project is to improve the state of the infrastructure and expand access to high-quality educational and everyday services for lyceum students of the Naval Lyceum named after Vice Admiral Volodymyr Bezkorovainy by creating a modern educational and residential complex that will meet the requirements of modern military education. To achieve this goal, it is planned to build new facilities, in particular educational buildings, residential and barracks premises, sports halls and playgrounds, a canteen and an administrative building, as well as equip them with modern equipment - multimedia teaching aids, laboratory equipment, furniture and sports equipment. It is planned to create appropriate conditions for living and everyday life, including the arrangement of bedrooms, bathrooms, recreation areas and a canteen, and the organization of full-fledged sports and physical training by building a stadium, gyms and open and closed sports grounds. Particular attention will be paid to the introduction of energy-efficient technologies, building insulation, and the installation of video surveillance and security systems. The need for the project is due to the existing gap between the current state of the infrastructure and the target level: currently the lyceum is located in Odesa at 14 Fontanska Doroga St., where there is limited space, outdated material resources, and no proper conditions for the residence and training of all students, which makes it impossible to fully implement the educational and upbringing process in accordance with modern standards.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

The key problems that the implementation of the project to build a new complex of the Naval Lyceum named after Vice Admiral Volodymyr Bezkorovainy should solve are: insufficient area and outdated condition of existing educational and living facilities; limited opportunities for accommodation and living of all lyceum students; lack of proper sports infrastructure for physical training; lack of modern educational equipment and laboratories; lack of conditions for implementing the full range of educational programs and measures of military-patriotic education. The relevance of these problems is due to the growing need for high-quality training of future military sailors in the context of ongoing armed aggression against Ukraine and the need to strengthen the state's defense capabilities. If these problems are not resolved, possible consequences will be a decrease in the quality of graduate training, restrictions on the recruitment of new cadets, deterioration of living and learning conditions, as well as a decrease in the attractiveness of the lyceum as a prestigious institution of military education. The implementation of the project will provide modern conditions for training, accommodation, and physical training, expand the possibilities of recruiting and educating young people from different regions of Ukraine, increase the level of the material and technical base, introduce modern teaching and training methods, and also contribute to the formation of a positive image of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
