Description of the project
Overhaul of the roof of a non-residential building at the address: Zhytomyr region, Berdychiv district, Andrushivka city, Kyivska st., 9. The existing children's creativity building is three-story, rectangular in plan. The project provides for a major roof repair: dismantling of the existing roof made of asbestos-cement corrugated sheets, major repair of damaged elements of the rafter system, installation of a metal roof, installation of a roof fence, snow guards, installation of a drainage system; lightning protection.
The purpose of the project

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it
It is planned:
to provide appropriate conditions for the implementation of the educational process in the House of Children's Creativity by carrying out a major repair of the roof of the building. The implementation of the project is aimed at:
- creating a safe environment for children and employees of the institution;
- preventing further destruction of load-bearing structures and internal premises due to leaks;
- preserving the building as an object of socio-cultural significance;
- increasing the energy efficiency of the building by insulating and sealing the roof.
The goal is to achieve this goal by performing a complex of construction and repair works, in particular:
1. Dismantling works:
- dismantling the roof from asbestos-cement corrugated and metal galvanized sheets;
- dismantling the crate;
- dismantling the lightning rod pins;
- dismantling the roofing felt;
- dismantling the dormer windows;
- dismantling the door blocks.
2. Arrangement of a hipped roof, which includes:
- installation of elements of the rafter system;
- execution of metal roofing on a wooden rafter system;
- execution of organized drainage from the roof due to a suspended system of gutters;
- arrangement of dormer windows and snow guards;
- arrangement of a roof fence and transition bridges on the roof;
- protection of wooden roof structures from rotting and combustion with the preparation DSA.
3. Execution of electric lighting of the roof and lightning protection of the roof.
Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation
Existing problems:
1. deterioration of the building's roof - numerous damages, leaks, which lead to leaks into the interior;
2. risks of destruction of structural elements - due to constant exposure to moisture, ceilings, walls and finishes suffer;
3. inadequate conditions for children and employees - a threat to safety, the appearance of fungus and dampness in the premises;
4. increased costs for building maintenance - increased heating costs due to heat loss and lack of high-quality waterproofing;
Results of their solution after project implementation:
1. Restoration and reliable roofing - will provide protection of the building from precipitation and extend its service life;
2. Preservation of structural elements - prevention of further destruction of walls, ceilings and interior spaces;
3. Increasing the energy efficiency of the building - reducing heat loss and, as a result, saving budget funds for paying for utilities;
