General information

Description of the project

The project involves the reconstruction of the building of the day hospital of the Zinkivka City Central Hospital of the Zinkivka City Council of the Poltava region in order to accommodate and ensure the full functioning of the Zinkivka General Practice – Family Medicine Outpatient Clinic (APMC). The project includes construction and repair work, modernization of engineering networks, arrangement of an accessible and barrier-free environment, and bringing the premises into compliance with current sanitary, construction and medical requirements. The implementation of the project will contribute to increasing the accessibility and quality of primary health care for residents of the Zinkivka community.

The purpose of the project

Main Goal:

Increasing compliance with modern standards

Secondary Goal:

Improving the condition of infrastructure, Introducing innovations and energy-efficient solutions, Improving the quality of services

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

creating appropriate conditions for the provision of high-quality, accessible and continuous primary medical care by reconstructing the building of the day hospital of the Zinkivka City Central Hospital and re-equipping it for the Zinkivka general practice outpatient clinic - family medicine, in accordance with current medical, sanitary and building standards.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

The key problem is the inconsistency of the existing day hospital building with modern requirements for the functioning of a primary health care facility as an object of critical social infrastructure. Outdated technical condition, worn-out engineering networks, ineffective planning solutions and the lack of a barrier-free environment limit the population's access to medical services, do not allow compliance with current medical and sanitary standards and reduce the stability of the facility in conditions of increased risks. The urgency of solving the problem is due to the growing needs of the community for accessible primary health care, the need to restore and strengthen the capacity of the medical infrastructure under martial law, as well as the implementation of the priorities of the Unified Project Portfolio (UPP). If the problems are not resolved, the low quality and accessibility of medical services will remain, and the risks to the safety of patients and staff will increase. The implementation of the project will ensure the creation of a modern, safe, and barrier-free outpatient clinic, increase the accessibility and quality of primary health care, and contribute to the sustainable development of the community's healthcare system.
