General information

Description of the project

The project involves the reconstruction of the power supply system of the Verkhnya Lipytsia Lyceum (address: 77043, Ivano-Frankivsk region, Ivano-Frankivsk district, Verkhnya Lipytsia village, Tsentralna st., 25) by installing a hybrid solar power plant with energy storage and automatic backup. The solution will reduce the institution's dependence on external networks, increase the reliability of power supply, and optimize energy costs. The complex includes photovoltaic modules, an inverter-battery unit, ATS/protection panels, a metering unit and dispatching, integrated into the existing network in compliance with the requirements of current regulations.

Main tasks:

  • design, examination and approval of technical solutions;
  • purchase of equipment, installation of solar power plants, energy storage systems and ATS;
  • commissioning, integration with metering and dispatching;
  • training of personnel in operation and maintenance.

Main results:

  • expected annual reduction in electricity consumption: 20%;
  • expected savings in budget funds for energy payments: 20%.

The purpose of the project

Main Goal:

Introducing innovations and energy-efficient solutions

Secondary Goal:

Contribution to climate or environmental goals

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The project is aimed at implementing an innovative energy supply system for the Verkhnolipytsky Lyceum through the installation of a hybrid solar power plant with energy storage, inverter equipment, automatic backup (AVR) and a monitoring system. The solution will optimize electricity consumption, reduce peak loads and the share of network consumption, increase the reliability and manageability of the institution's energy consumption. Main implementation steps: - development of design and estimate documentation and examination; - purchase and delivery of equipment (PEM, inverters, battery modules, AVR/protection panels, metering unit, switching equipment, monitoring controllers); - installation, integration with existing building electrical networks, commissioning; - setting up the monitoring and dispatching system (on-line generation/consumption accounting, event log, analytics); - instruction and training of the institution's personnel in operation and maintenance. Expected quantitative results, consistent with energy efficiency and climate goals: - reduction in annual electricity consumption – 20%; - savings in budget funds for energy costs – 20%; - reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by replacing part of the grid electricity with renewable energy generation.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

Existing problems: - high dependence on network supply and tariff fluctuations; - lack of mechanisms for smoothing peak loads and optimizing consumption; - increase in operating costs for energy resources. Expected results after implementation: - partial replacement of network consumption with own generation with RES and storage; - (-20%) annual electricity consumption due to generation, accumulation and load management; - saving 20% of budget expenses for paying for energy carriers; - increasing the reliability and manageability of electricity supply due to modern equipment, automatic control systems and monitoring systems; - environmental effect: reduction of CO₂ emissions and formation of good practices for energy saving in an educational institution.

Demand for the service and its dynamics

What methodology was used to estimate demand?
