Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The main goal of the project is the comprehensive restoration of the transport and operational characteristics of the inner-quarter territory to create a safe and functional living environment. Specific goals include ensuring traffic safety (elimination of potholes and pavement damage that create emergency situations for vehicles and the threat of injury to pedestrians) and improving logistics, such as ensuring unhindered access for special equipment (ambulance, fire engines, garbage trucks) to residential buildings No. 11/17 and No. 17/19 on Komitetskaya Street, building 3, Bannoye Lane, building 30, Prokhorovskaya Street, as well as to critical infrastructure facilities (boiler room, substation). At the same time, the goal of the project is to optimize drainage, i.e. adjust the profile of the pavement for effective drainage of rainwater, which will prevent flooding of building foundations and destruction of utility networks. To achieve this goal, a set of works is planned, divided into stages. Given the high density of underground networks (gas pipeline, water pipeline, high-voltage cables), work begins with precise routing of communications. Further, removal of the old deformed asphalt concrete coating and damaged curbstones. Arrangement of a new coating - laying asphalt concrete to ensure durability and evenness of the road. Arrangement of three entrances from Komitetskaya Street and Bannoye Avenue with a smooth connection of levels for the convenience of drivers. Protection of engineering nodes, namely raising the hatches of inspection wells to the level of the new coating and replacing old well cover slabs if necessary.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

The implementation of the overhaul project is aimed at eliminating critical infrastructure problems that have accumulated due to long-term operation and the specifics of dense development and allows transforming the degraded intra-quarter territory into a modern, functional space, where technical reliability (protection of networks and foundations) is combined with comfort for residents. Also, the restoration of the full dimensions of the three entrances guarantees the prompt arrival of rescue services to the entrances and critical infrastructure facilities (boiler room, substation). Thanks to the adjustment of the road profile, water will be effectively diverted from the houses into the stormwater network, which will increase the service life of the residential buildings themselves. At the same time, a comprehensive renovation of the space between five- and nine-story buildings, which improves the visual appearance of the historically formed development of Odessa.
