Description of the project

The project involves major repairs with adjustments to the fire protection system at the Shchyretsky Lyceum named after Hero of Ukraine Bohdan Ilkiv of the Shchyretsky Settlement Council of the Lviv District of the Lviv Region. The goal is to ensure an adequate level of fire safety in the educational institution by installing a modern fire alarm system, notification and evacuation management, as well as performing the necessary construction and installation work in accordance with current regulatory requirements. The implementation of the project will contribute to the protection of the life and health of students and employees, the creation of safe learning conditions and the compliance of the lyceum with state standards in the field of civil protection.

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The purpose of the project is: -ensuring a reliable level of fire safety in an educational institution; -creating safe learning and working conditions for students and employees of the lyceum; -installing a modern fire alarm, notification and evacuation management system in accordance with current regulatory requirements; -increasing the level of readiness of the institution for emergencies and minimizing risks to life and health; -bringing the lyceum infrastructure into line with state standards of civil protection and fire safety. The following main methods are envisaged to implement the goal: -development and adjustment of project documentation in accordance with current regulatory requirements in the field of fire safety; -purchase and installation of modern equipment: fire alarm, notification and evacuation management systems; -installation and configuration of cable networks and power supply necessary for the system to function; -carrying out construction and installation works to integrate the system into the lyceum premises; -testing and commissioning the system, checking its performance and compliance with technical requirements; -training the lyceum staff on the rules for using the system and actions in the event of a fire hazard; -providing technical maintenance and regular inspections after completion of work to maintain the system in good condition.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

The main problems that exist in the institution: -lack of a modern fire protection system; -insufficient level of safety of students and employees in the event of a fire hazard; -non-compliance of the lyceum building with current regulatory requirements in the field of fire safety; -high risks to life and health of people due to untimely detection and notification of a fire; -limited opportunities for organized and rapid evacuation. Results of the solution after project implementation: -installation and commissioning of a modern fire alarm and notification system; -ensuring timely detection of the threat and prompt notification of a fire; -creation of conditions for organized evacuation of students and employees; -bringing the lyceum building to compliance with state fire safety standards; -significant reduction in the risks of emergency situations and minimization of their consequences; -increasing the level of community trust in the safety of the educational institution.
