General information

Description of the project

The project provides for the installation of accessibility elements for people with visual impairments (sound signaling devices), the installation of contrasting lighting of pedestrian crossings. The use of progressive technologies, new materials, galvanized metal supports with anti-corrosion protection and a manufacturer's warranty is envisaged.

The purpose of the project

Main Goal:

Creation of new facilities and services

Secondary Goal:

Improving the condition of infrastructure

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The purpose of the project is not just to install a traffic light facility, but to comprehensively improve safety and regulate traffic at a specific intersection. The construction of a traffic light facility at the intersection of Heroes of the UPA and Saints Peter and Paul Streets aims to: - reduce the number of road accidents; - increase the safety of pedestrians (especially children and the elderly); - optimize traffic flows; - bring traffic management up to modern standards.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

As a result of the significant intensity of traffic flows on the main road, as well as taking into account the presence of an unregulated pedestrian crossing, there are constantly intersections of vehicles and people, which leads to the creation of emergency situations and road accidents. From the point of view of the intensity of traffic flows, the introduction of traffic light regulation on the highway is fully justified.
