Description of the project

This project involves the creation of modern educational spaces for science classrooms and a STEM laboratory in a lyceum in accordance with the concept of a specialized high school and the principles of the National School of Science and Technology.

The goal is to ensure high-quality, practice-oriented teaching of science subjects (biology, physics, chemistry), STEM laboratories by updating the material and technical base, furniture and implementing innovative approaches to organizing the educational environment.

The project plans to equip modern laboratories, areas for research activities, interactive learning and teamwork of students. The spaces will be equipped with the latest equipment, furniture, digital resources and safe conditions for conducting experiments.

The implementation of the project will contribute to the development of key competencies of students, the formation of scientific thinking, increasing motivation for learning and preparing students for a conscious choice of their future profession.

The goal of the project is to create a modern educational environment for science classrooms in the lyceum in accordance with the requirements of a specialized high school and the concept of the National Science School, which will ensure high-quality, practice-oriented learning, development of key competencies and formation of students' scientific worldview. Ways to achieve the goal: • updating the material and technical base of biology, chemistry, physics classrooms; • arrangement of functional areas (educational, laboratory, research, group work area); • providing classrooms with modern laboratory equipment and digital teaching aids, furniture; • implementation of interactive and STEM approaches to learning; • creation of safe conditions for practical and laboratory work; • increasing the professional competence of teachers in the use of modern equipment and methods; • organization of a learning space that promotes cooperation, research activities and the development of critical thinking of students.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

Modern education requires a transition from outdated, predominantly theoretical approaches to learning to a practice-oriented, research-based format, which is provided for by the concept of the New Ukrainian School. However, the current state of science classrooms in the lyceum does not allow for the full implementation of these approaches: the material and technical base is insufficient and outdated. As a result, students do not have the opportunity to conduct high-quality experiments, develop critical thinking and research skills, which directly affects the level of their knowledge and motivation to study science disciplines. The creation of modern educational spaces is an urgent need, as this will ensure equal access to quality education, increase students' interest in STEM areas and prepare them for the challenges of the modern labor market. Investments in the renovation of science classrooms are investments in the formation of a competent, competitive graduate, capable of self-realization and conscious professional choice.
