General information
Description of the project
The zoo territory is a place of mass stay of people, in particular families with children, as well as employees of the institution. During an air raid, visitors and staff must be able to quickly take shelter in a safe place in accordance with the requirements of the legislation in the field of civil defense. In order to protect visitors and employees during danger, it is planned to purchase and install primary mobile shelters on the territory of the institution. This will provide prompt access to shelter during an air raid, increase the level of safety of visitors and employees, ensure the continuity of the zoo's work as an object of socio-cultural importance, and will allow fulfilling the requirements of the legislation of Ukraine in the field of civil defense regarding providing shelter for the population.

Ensuring the safety of visitors and zoo employees by purchasing, manufacturing and equipping shelters, in particular mobile (primary) ones, that comply with DSTU, and the method of achieving this is a set of measures from procurement/construction to equipment, in compliance with safety standards, sanitary rules, inclusivity requirements and the installation of life support systems with a specific implementation period. This involves the purchase of structures (storage facilities, quickly constructed shelters) and their equipment with ventilation, dry toilets, lighting systems, and also meets state priorities for protecting citizens from threats.
Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation
The main problems are the lack of shelters in the territory due to lack of funding, the result of the implementation is the provision of safe places, saving lives. The implementation of the project to create shelters solves the critical problem of population safety during the war, providing protection from shelling by arranging the simplest (including mobile) shelters with improved living conditions (ventilation, lighting, medical care, communications).
