General information

Description of the project

The purchase of one school bus to ensure unhindered access to education in the Oleksandrivska settlement territorial community involves the purchase of specialized transport to organize regular and safe transportation of students and teaching staff to the Municipal Institution "Mykhailivsky Lyceum" of the Oleksandrivska settlement council, Kropyvnytskyi district, Kirovohrad region and back. The implementation of the measure is aimed at creating equal conditions for access to quality education, especially for children living in remote settlements, as well as for students with special educational needs. It is expected to increase the level of education coverage, reduce the risks of missing classes, and improve the overall accessibility of educational services in the community.

The purpose of the project

Main Goal:

Increasing compliance with modern standards

Secondary Goal:

Improving the condition of infrastructure, Ensuring inclusiveness and equal opportunities

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The project aims to improve the accessibility and quality of educational services in the Oleksandrivska settlement territorial community by renewing and expanding the school bus fleet. Due to the territorial spread of the community, the presence of remote settlements and the optimization of the network of educational institutions, a significant number of students and teachers need organized transportation to their places of study and work. Today, there is a problem of a limited number of vehicles, their physical wear and tear, as well as the non-compliance of some buses with modern safety and inclusiveness requirements. This complicates the provision of regular and safe transportation of students, including children with special educational needs, and creates risks of violating their right to education.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

The existing school bus fleet is insufficient to cover all the needs of the community. More than 61% of vehicles have exhausted their technical resource, which affects their technical serviceability, transportation safety and regularity of routes. Some buses are not adapted for transporting children with special educational needs. Purchase of one school bus equipped with special places for wheelchairs, will allow the city to integrate students with limited mobility into a full-fledged educational process
